This month, CCID consultants officially released the 2013-2014 annual report on China's information security product market.
According to the report, in 2013, China's information security market reached 19.139 billion yuan, an increase of 21.7% over 2012, while the global information security market reached 98.359 billion dollars in the same period, an increase of 12.6% over the same period last year.
CCID forecasts that in the next three years, China's information security product market will continue to maintain a rapid growth trend, and the market size is expected to reach 41.787 billion yuan in 2016, with a compound growth rate of 31.2%.
According to CCID's seventh analysis of SOC security management platform market, in 2013, the market scale of China's security management platform (SOC) products reached 586 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 23.1% compared with 2012, still slightly higher than the average growth rate. CCID expects that in the next three years, the security management platform (SOC) products will further realize the integration of products and services.
CCID's report shows that the concentration of SOC market is further enhanced. In 2012, the top four security management platform manufacturers accounted for nearly 60% of the domestic market share, while in 2013, the top four security management platform manufacturers accounted for more than 70% of the domestic market share.
CCID suggests that enterprises should concentrate resources to form an integrated competitive advantage and seize the active opportunities of expansion, combination, merger and reorganization of foreign information security enterprises. CCID believes that domestic security enterprises are generally small in scale, decentralized in market concentration, and their advantages are only limited to one or several subdivisions. It is urgent to expand the ability to concentrate resources through M & A integration, form an integrated competitive advantage, and emerge leading enterprises that can lead the development of the entire information security industry.
In my experience, from the perspective of the situation since this year, it is imperative for domestic information security enterprises to merge and integrate. It is not only for the investment of startup enterprises, but also for the merger and integration of large-scale information security enterprises. I believe that there will soon be cases worthy of attention, let's wait and see.
