Preface
Since the first release of the top 50 Chinese cybersecurity enterprises (hereinafter referred to as the "top 50"), safe cow has been planning the second release of the top 50 and officially launched the investigation in early March this year. After more than three months of research, review and evaluation, it was officially released in the early morning.
In this survey, 150 candidate enterprises were selected from nearly 500 safety enterprises, and basic information was obtained through open data collection, questionnaire filling, teleconference and face-to-face communication. Then, a survey committee composed of professional investigators, technical experts and senior industry personnel will review, grade and evaluate according to the survey indicators and methodology, and finally select 50 network security companies. The survey data is based on the data and information of 2015.
In this survey of the top 50, the network security departments of traditional, emerging and large enterprises have been eliminated and ranked in a unified way. In addition, at the end of the list, 20 start-ups with the most development potential in various emerging security fields are recommended. The start-ups on this list will also be selected as candidates in the "innovation sandbox" of this year's China Internet Security Conference.
It is worth noting that, according to statistics, the total sales revenue of the top 50 enterprises in this list in 2015 was about 18 billion yuan, which objectively and truly reflected the real scale of China's cybersecurity free market.
The full text of this list was launched on June 21, 2016 by the security cow wechat and website platform, and will be published in English to the world, providing reference for relevant industries and institutions at home and abroad to understand the basic situation of China's network security enterprises.

Three, conclusion
The most important thing for the list survey is to be objective and fair, as well as the scientific setting of survey indicators. In this survey, on the basis of 26 survey indicators last year, there are 4 new indicators totaling 30. On this basis, it can be divided into four categories: enterprise scale (income, profit, number of employees), influence (industry, region, popularity), innovation (new technology, new product, new model) and development potential (1 / 3 / 5 annual growth rate expectation), and set corresponding weights in turn to evaluate and score in order to approach the most real results.
For a variety of reasons, there are also some cyber security companies that said they did not participate in the survey and we were unable to obtain enterprise information from public channels, which are not included in the list. Therefore, the results of this survey only represent the status quo of most of the mainstream network security enterprises in China, not the complete strength of all the domestic network security enterprises.
The top 50 survey will be updated at a fixed frequency of half a year. It will be launched in the first half of each year in early March and released in June. It is launched in October in the second half of each year and released in December.
